Stephanie Gossett


Stephanie Gossett is the Volunteer Program Specialist for the AARP Virginia State Office. She was the Assistant Director of Philanthropy for the Virginia Home for Boys and Girls and prior to that she served as the Executive Director of the Youth Life Foundation of Richmond. She is  member of the Greater Richmond Association for Volunteer Administrators for three years and serving as board conference chair for two years, a financially active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and member of the Richmond Urban League Young Professionals for 5 years serving on the board for two years. For eight years, Stephanie has served on the Executive Team conference planning committee for New Deliverance Evangelistic Church women’s ministry which attracts approximately 500 women yearly.  She has had extensive experience in volunteer management, staff/volunteer team development, and nonprofit management and event planning. Stephanie currently serves as Health Action Council member and Young Professional’s Task Force with the United Way of Greater Richmond & Petersburg.  She has earned a bachelor degree in Business Management from Wilberforce University as well as a Master of Public Administration from Wright State University. She completed a Fundraising and Development Certificate for the Institute of Philanthropy from University of Richmond and graduated from The Partnership for Nonprofit Excellence - Emerging Nonprofit Leaders Program in June 2014. Stephanie has a passion for helping others and dedicates her life to giving back to the community.
